"Welcome to Wonderland" began as an illustration inspired by Alice in Wonderland that I created a few years ago. Wanting to breathe new life into the artwork, I decided to transform it into an animation and, in doing so, give it a functional purpose—an animated menu.
For this project, I chose Callooh Callay, a local Alice in Wonderland-themed cocktail bar. The bar takes its name from a phrase in Lewis Carroll’s poem Jabberwocky, featured in his sequel novel Through the Looking-Glass. The animated menu brings a whimsical, immersive experience to the bar’s branding, capturing the surreal and playful essence of Carroll’s world.
This project combines illustration, animation, and interactive design, reimagining a classic story in a modern, engaging way.
